A behavioral health approach
Your body and brain are not two separate things, although they are often treated that way. Your body responds to how you think, feel, and act. Researchers are discovering that attitudes and emotions can contribute to health conditions. Over time, chronic stress can take a toll on your emotional and physical health.
Our research shows that many customers find getting to their PT appointments can be a stressful experience. When they get to their appointment, they aren't able to relax properly and don't feel like they get the full benefit of the session. Relaxation is a key component to our program. Relaxation exercises are useful in reducing psychological distress and pain intensity in patients with chronic pain. In busy clinics it is not always practical to do these relaxation exercises as they can be too time-consuming.
